What is the CA Rural Ed Network?

What is the CA Rural Ed Network?

The Network is designed with an Executive Team, a Steering Committee, an Advisory Council and a team of Researchers. All of these members represent and advocate for Rural California through their roles at the CA Department of Education, universities, state and community colleges, county offices of education and rural districts. We are planning to establish a Student Commission that will serve rural high school students across California in leadership opportunities.

Our 200+ members are people who work in rural areas and/or support rural educators across the 58 counties in California.

What is the purpose of the CA Rural Ed Network?

What is the purpose of the CA Rural Ed Network?

The intention of the CA Rural Ed Network is to amplify the voices of rural educators. We believe that if we provide time and space for rural educators to share their stories, make connections and seek to continuously improve rural educational practices, then we are able to share the unique and positive features of rural education with the world.

We host regular meetings for members and the public and an annual summit.
